Our new voice interview functionality allows AI to conduct fully guided, natural voice conversations with participants — listening, responding, and adapting in real time, just like a human moderator.
How does it work during an interview?
The AI interviewer asks questions, waits for responses, and even lets participants interrupt or revisit previous answers — making it feel like a real conversation. It’s intuitive, responsive, and fully voice-led.
Can I still choose between voice and text interviews?
Absolutely. When setting up your interview guide, you can choose to run the interview via voice or text - giving you flexibility based on your research goals or participant preferences.
What languages are supported for voice interviews?
Voice interviews at feature launch can be started in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish — with more languages coming soon.
Will I get transcripts of the audio responses?
Yes. All voice interviews are automatically transcribed and available in your preferred language. You can also listen back to any part of the audio directly from your insights dashboard.
How can I probe or follow up on specific responses?
Use our SmartAsk™ feature to dive deeper. After the interview, moderators can ask custom follow-up questions based on any transcript — and SmartAsk™ will handle the rest, in any language you choose.

Voice interviews are available for users on our Pro, Team, or Enterprise plans. If you’re on the Starter package, you can add it as an upgrade — or talk to us about customizing your plan.
